About Low Valyrian
Low Valyrian encompasses the various pidgin and creole dialects that evolved from High Valyrian across the Free Cities and Slaver's Bay in the Game of Thrones universe. Created by David J. Peterson, the most prominent form is Astapori Valyrian, spoken in Astapor. Each city developed its own dialect, reflecting real-world patterns of language evolution. Low Valyrian features simplified grammar compared to High Valyrian, with regional vocabulary and pronunciation differences. It is notably spoken during Daenerys's liberation of the Unsullied.
