Dovahzul

Dovahzul (literally 'Dragon-Voice') is the constructed language of the dragons in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Created by Bethesda Game Studios, it features a runic alphabet, a vocabulary of several hundred words, and a grammar designed to sound ancient and powerful. The language is central to Skyrim's gameplay through 'Shouts' — magical phrases in Dovahzul that grant the player special powers. The fan community has expanded the language significantly beyond what appeared in the game, with online dictionaries and learning resources.
