Sambahsa

An auxiliary language based on Proto-Indo-European roots, bridging European and Asian languages.

About

Sambahsa-Mundialect was created by French linguist Olivier Simon in 2007. Its vocabulary is primarily derived from Proto-Indo-European roots, with supplements from Arabic, Chinese, and other language families to achieve global coverage. The name means 'same language' in Proto-Indo-European. Sambahsa features a moderately complex grammar that feels natural to speakers of Indo-European languages, with a rich morphology and a writing system compatible with the Latin alphabet. It aims to be a bridge language connecting the Indo-European language family.
