This book contains 50 Word Connections puzzles designed to help you learn Finnish vocabulary through play. Each puzzle presents 16 Finnish words that you must sort into 4 hidden groups of 4 words sharing a common theme.
The puzzles cover 200 everyday categories, including musical instruments, trees, insects, seafood, textures, shapes, flowers, among many others. You will encounter 800 Finnish words as you work through the book, absorbing vocabulary naturally through the process of identifying thematic connections between words.
Puzzles are arranged in order of difficulty. The first 15 use common, everyday vocabulary suitable for absolute beginners. The next 20 introduce intermediate-level words. The final 15 challenge you with less common and more specialized vocabulary. Category hints are provided on each puzzle page, and a full answer key labeling every category in both Finnish and English is included at the back of the book.
No prior knowledge of Finnish is required. Each puzzle can be solved as a mental exercise on any e-reader — no pen or paper needed.
