À propos
Esperanto was created by Polish ophthalmologist L. L. Zamenhof in 1887 as an international auxiliary language. It features a completely regular grammar with no exceptions, an agglutinative word-building system, and vocabulary drawn mainly from Romance and Germanic languages. With an estimated 100,000 to 2 million speakers worldwide, Esperanto is the most successful constructed language in history. It has a rich literature, music scene, and annual World Congress.
