Interlingua

Van lingoXpress, de open taalnaslag.

Interlingua is a naturalistic auxiliary language based on common Romance and English vocabulary, designed for immediate comprehension.

Over

Interlingua was developed by the International Auxiliary Language Association (IALA) under the direction of Alexander Gode, published in 1951. Unlike Esperanto's a priori approach, Interlingua extracts its vocabulary from the common roots of English, French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese — meaning speakers of these languages can often understand it without study. Its grammar is minimal and regular. Interlingua has been used in scientific publications and international conferences, particularly in the medical and scientific communities.
