Quenya is Tolkien's most developed constructed language, inspired by Finnish and Latin. Known as 'High Elvish', it serves as the ancient and ceremonial language of the Elves in Middle-earth. Quenya features an agglutinative morphology, ten cases, a complex verb system, and a writing system called Tengwar. Tolkien began creating Quenya as early as 1915, making it one of the oldest fictional constructed languages.
