Povi is a common modal verb used for ability, permission, or possibility. It is regular in Esperanto: infinitive povi; present povas; past povis; future povos; conditional povus; volitive/imperative povu. Use it before another verb (e.g., mi povas fari = I can do). For permission, context clarifies whether it means 'able to' or 'may.'
