Synonyms

  • continuamente
  • costantemente
Use 'sempre' to indicate that something happens at all times or habitually. It normally appears before the main verb ('sempre vado' is possible but more common is 'vado sempre') or before an adjective ('è sempre gentile'). It is stronger than 'di solito' (usually) and can add emphasis when placed after the verb.
