It can describe people, things, weather, events, etc. As with many Swahili adjectives, it agrees with noun classes: for example, use 'mzuri' with a singular m- noun (mwanafunzi mzuri), 'wazuri' for its plural (wanafunzi wazuri), and 'vizuri' is the adverb form meaning 'well.' Nzuri is also used alone as a short reply meaning 'fine' or 'okay.'
