Thấy is used both for sensory perception (I saw/he saw) and for internal feeling or opinion (I feel/I think). For literal visual perception, speakers often say nhìn thấy to emphasize seeing with the eyes; for internal sensations or judgments, cảm thấy or cảm nhận are common. Thấy can be followed by an adjective (thấy mệt → feel tired) or by a clause (thấy rằng... → think that...).
