Use 'swydd' when you mean a position or post (a job in the employment sense). 'Golaith' is not related. Note pronunciation: 'gw' like the 'gw' in 'gwyn', 'ai' like English 'eye', and the final 'th' is the unvoiced 'th' as in 'think'.
