Darllen is the everyday verb for reading: books, newspapers, signs, or screens. You will see it in many tenses (e.g. darllenais = I read / I have read; darllenwch = read! (imperative)); use 'darllen i' to indicate reading to someone. Note the Welsh 'll' sound in darllen, which is a voiceless lateral fricative (not like English 'l').
