Meaning: to teach; to give instruction or show someone how to do something

Examples

Učit is the general verb for 'to teach' (habitual or ongoing instruction). Use učit se for 'to learn' (reflexive). For the result of teaching (to make someone learn) Czech often uses naučit (e.g., naučit někoho něco). Učit is very common in school and everyday contexts.
